It gives me immense pleasure to write this post for the Blogadda activity #YouMakeMeWIN. Everyday I read a lot of blogs from various genres. Most of them inspire me in some way or the other. I get to learn a new skill on blogging. I make it a point to appreciate the posts I really like. Of all the blogs I read, there are few I enjoy reading the most. So when I read about this activity at Blogadda, I thought what better way to appreciate these fellow bloggers.
It was really difficult for me to choose from my personal list. But I have finally listed my nominations for the Blogadda WIN 15, in no particular order.
The Turmeric Kitchen - Jagruti Vedamati
Nomination Category - Food and Drinks
This blog is all about food, mostly Odia cuisine. The author brings to you the authentic Odia dishes and otherwise, through lovely stories. Her food articles have been published by the India Currents Magazine, San Jose, CA. She writes about the inspiration for preparing a dish in her blog and that is what captured me. She shares with you her tips about the particular dish and also alternative ingredients if you do not have the one she has used. I have personally created few dishes following her recipe from this blog. I must admit it was easy to follow and tasty, when made. And so I nominate The Turmeric Kitchen for Blogadda_WIN 15.
The tempest in me...Silenced - Pragyan Pattanayak
Nomination Category - Creative Writing
The connection with this blog is the oldest. The author writes poems, short stories and on other various topics as well.I enjoy reading her stories. The manner in which she fabricates the plot is interesting. The characters seem to be very real. You can relate to the stories in this blog and they are gripping. There is always a learning from her stories. And so I nominate The tempest in me...Silenced for Blogadda_WIN 15.
Green Humour - Rohan Chakravarty
Nomination Category - Humour and Satire
The author of this blog has a knack to make you laugh with his funny cartoons. His cartoons are focussed on the animal world and he portrays his support towards the environment through his cartoons. You can guess the same from the very name of his blog. His comic strip feature regularly in GoComics.com. His cartoons have featured in several nation and international magazines. They have also been used for several environmental campaigns. Fortunately, I also had the chance to him in one of his animals caricature exhibition in Bangalore, recently. I have enjoyed all his cartoons and caricatures. And so I nominate Green Humour for Blogaada_WIN 15.
LaPetit Chef - Swayampurna Mishra Singh
Nomination Category - Food and Drinks
This is a blog I came across via her FB page. But since then I have been following it. The sheer beauty of the post and photographs of the dishes got me hinged onto it. This blog is a deadly combination of varied food recipes and their mouth-watering photographs. She is one of the Top 100 Food Bloggers on Google+. One of her recipe, recently got added to the menu of Egg Factory, Bangalore. It is wonderful to see the efforts put in, to make everything look so gorgeous in her posts. And so I nominate LaPetit Chef for Blogadda_WIN15.
Embark with my thoughts - Shashank Tiwari
Nomination Category - Creative Writing
The author of this blog writes fictions and poems. I like to read both. However, I enjoy reading his fictions more. Particularly his 55 words fictions. The manner in which he starts with an opening setting, webs a plot within and then an ending, managing to bring in a twist every time, all in just 55 words is commendable. And so I nominate Embark with my thoughts for Blogadda_WIN 15.
I’m blogging for #YouMakeMeWIN to honour a blogger who has influenced me and deserves to be nominated at WIN15.
