I am writing this post as part of the 3 Day Quote Challenge (#DQC). This is a self nomination for I found the concept interesting. I first came across this challenge at Lata Subramaniam's blog.
This final day quote is by Paulo Coelho. It reinstates my belief in the same thought. You can be never old enough to aspire and achieve your dream. Age is just a number. The mind can be never contained in a number. It is a free will. There have been numerous people in the history of this world who have proved this quote right, time and again.
Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel Super-heroes did not start drawing his legends until he was 43.
Julia Child, the alter ego of cooking skills, didn't even learn to cook until she was almost 40. She launched her popular show only when she was 50 years.
Jayant Mahapatra, the Padmashree awardee poet started writing poetry only after his retirement in his late forties.
Boman Irani, the now famous Hindi Cinema actor started his acting career in his forties.
Manoj Bhargava was a taxi driver until his was 30. Currently, he is a billionaire entrepreneur and founder of 5 Hour Energy.
J K Rowling, one the best-selling author in the history of world literature was a single mom until 31.
Ang Lee was jobless until he was 31 years. Now he is listed in the Oscar winning directors.
The finger liking good KFC first store waited for its launch until Colonel Sanders was 65 years age
It was the same with McDonald's founder Ray Kroc who launched the food chain when he was 52 years.
This list is just a few of them. There are many more. This list is inspiring. These are people from different geographic locations, different cultures, different vocation and different age group. But one thing common to all of them is that they did not bother when to dream. Life is too unpredictable to wait. And age, let's keep that only for government identification.
